The boys and girls of 5VE4 have to write me a 350 word essay titled "Ramadan" during their English Language class today. I had a discussion with them about what Ramadan meant to them and what it represented. One of the things that that came up was that this was a month for Muslims to become closer to their God and also to do good deeds and charity. That was why I got them to help me weave a ketupat shaped from strips of paper which would be used for the greeting card to be given to the 60 senior citizens of the Pondok Lekir.
